The Hiltingbury Schools Speech and Language Centre is an inclusive Resourced Provision for up to 12 children with an EHCP for Special Needs, whose principal area of need has been identified as speech and language, and who are between the ages of 4 and 11.
For students with substantial speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) as their major requirement, we are a resourced provision with 12 spots available (i.e developmental language disorder or significant speech sound difficulties).
Children who are offered a place in the Resourced Provision attend either Hiltingbury Infant or Junior School because our working approach is totally inclusive.
They will participate fully in school life in much the same manner as any other student and will be a part of a mainstream class with the support of a specialised SNA.
For kids with an Education and Healthcare Plan (EHCP) whose main need relates to Speech, Language, and Communication, we offer a completely inclusive provision.
The financing and placement of students attending Hiltingbury Resourced Provision are handled by Hampshire Local Authority, while admission choices are determined after consulting with parents, educators, and healthcare professionals.
If you are thinking about referring a kid, we encourage inquiries and visits from both parents and educational institutions. We will be pleased to address your concerns and point you in the proper route.
